Dirty Dalgona Coffee

Dalgona coffee seems to be the new Cappuccino. It’s milky, it’s frothy, it’s beautiful, and it can be whipped up in minutes in your very own kitchen. No need for a fancy coffee machine.

I bet we all wish we could take ourselves out for a coffee date at this point. Why not give your main living space a little bit of a makeover by reshuffling your furniture, get a little dressed up and enjoy a dalgona coffee in your new reinvigorated space? You would never be able to tell the difference.

All you need is the following:

3 tbs instant coffee

3 tbs sugar

3 tbs boiling water

Milk to fill 2 glasses/mugs (serves 2)

Mix instant coffee, sugar and water together until dissolved and whip up with an electric mixer until doubled in size, light in colour and the consistency of whipped cream. Pour cold milk over some ice, or heat it up if you prefer a warm coffee. Spoon the frothed coffee on top, and voila!

Personally I like to tune it up a notch and add a shot of Amarula to the milk before topping it off with the coffee. You can also add Kahluah or whiskey to make an upside-down Irish Coffee, or any other liquor of your choice. And there you have it: The Dirty Dalgona!

Just because you’re at home don’t mean you can’t have fancy things! Treat yo’self!
